WOODSIDE SCHOOL OPENS NEW CONNECTION

BETWEEN OLD AND NEW SECTIONS

RIVER VALE, NJ, JANUARY 5, 2004 – River Vale’s Woodside School Principal Allen Spatola recently cut the ribbon to the completed passageway between the old and new sections of the River Vale Road elementary school.

This connection allows the children walk to various classrooms without having to leave the school building and brave the cold weather.

“We were pleased to see this connection finished before winter,” Principal Spatola said. “The students and teachers will be able to travel between the old and new sections of the school more quickly and easily.”

The update is part of the district’s $18.9 million improvement project. River Vale residents in December 2000 approved renovations to the district’s three schools – the Woodside and Roberge schools and Holdrum Middle School. Much of the renovation work addresses increased enrollment.
