President Ammerman called the meeting to order at 6:15 PM in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231 and the Laws of 1975, notice was hereby given that advance public notice was forwarded to all officially designated individuals, newspapers, filed with the Township Clerk and posted at the Office of the Board of Education.

 

MEMBERS PRESENT:       Mr. William Ellis, Mrs. Bettyanne McGuire, Mrs. Joanne Venino, Mr. Bert Ammerman

 

ABSENT                                Mrs. Sheryl Eaton, Mr. Dave Zornow, Mr. Mike Ratner and  Dr. Frank Alvarez, Superintendent of Schools

 

ALSO PRESENT:                 Mr. Michael Rinderknecht, Business Administrator

 

The Board and members of the public saluted the flag.

 

BUSINESS RESOLUTION

            BE IT RESOLVED BY THE RIVER VALE BOARD OF EDUCATION that the Board approves the tentative budget for the 2002-2003 School Year:

 

            General Fund (Fund 10)                                   $13,341,825.00

            State/Federal Programs (Fund 20)                    $     158,394.00

            Debt Service (Fund 40)                                    $     979,405.00

            Total Tentative Budget                                 $14,479,624.00

                                               

            Spending Growth Limitation Adjustment-Enrollment $362,178.00

                                               

            Tax Levy – General Fund                     $12,349,706.00

                                   

            Tax Levy – Debt Service                      $     821,608.00

 

            BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE DATE FOR THE Public Budget Hearing for said budget is set for Thursday, March 21, 2002 at 7:00 PM in the Holdrum Middle School Cafeteria, and the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary is authorized to advertise the Tentative Budget no later than Saturday, March 16, 2002 edition of The Record from which date the budget will be on file and open for examination by the public between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM at the office of the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary and all school days until the Public Budget Hearing.
