bulletTemperature of 100 degrees of higher within the last 24 hours.
bulletStrep is suspected--results of throat culture have not been received
bulletPositive throat culture for strep throat.  Child may return to school no sooner than 24 hours after antibiotic has been started.
bulletAny  symptoms of acute illness such as persistent cough and/or running nose with body aches.

Leaving School due to illness: Students who become ill at school must report to the Health Office for evaluation. Students may not leave the building due to illness without authorization from the nurse.

Please promote hand washing in the family.  Hand washing is the most effective means of preventing the spread of communicable diseases. Adequate rest and proper nutrition are also required to maintain a healthy immune system.

Reminder : Please notify the school if your child is going to be late or absent from school.  Call the Attendance/Late phone number before 8:10 am and leave a message. 201-358-4016 ext.1020.  You can call day or night.

Please refer to attendance policy (found in your agenda book) for information regarding excused/unexcused absences.

As always, if I can offer any assistance or answer any questions regarding the health of your child please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,
