INTRODUCTION

          The tropical rain forests, which have the greatest variety of plant and animal species in the world, are fascinating.  Unfortunately, many of these plants are being destroyed by man for his own selfish reasons. In turn, this makes it difficult for many animal species to survive. 

          Your job is to help save these plants and animals.  You will start by doing some research to find out as much as you can about one plant and one animal, with the hope that you will be able to protect them.

 

TASK

v    Learn about the wonderful species of the rainforest.

 

v    Use the resource links to locate facts about the rainforest plant and animal you are going to research.

 

v    Take notes in your notebook that include the information that you will need on your charts.

 

v    Complete the Rainforest Plant Chart and the Rainforest Animal Chart.

 

v    Include in your interesting facts how you think we will be able to protect your rainforest plant and animal.
