Introduction:

We are traveling to the beautiful country of México.  But before we go, we need to find out some important things about México. 

Task:

You will “travel” to México via the following websites found by your teacher and find 3 things that you would like to visit/experience when you go to México.

Resources:

1.    See photographs from all over México.

2.    Read about the Legend of the Volcanoes and other Mexican myths.

3.    Check out the ruins at Chichen Itza and the ancient city of Teotchitlan.

4.    Find out some more information about El Día de los Muertos and other Mexican holidays.

5.    Explore some groups that are indigenous to México.

6.    Discover what alebrijes are.

7.    Mexicans make wonderful food, see if you can find a recipe that you would like to make.

8.    Find out some interesting and exciting facts about México!

Process:

1.    Check out at least 3 websites on your own.

2.    Read about the places or things that interest you.

3.    Complete the page given to you by your teacher.

a.   Be sure to be detailed about what you are interested in so you don’t forget when your teacher asks you about it!!

Evaluation:  Check to see if you completed the following items:

1.    I found at least 3 places/things that I would like to do upon my visit to México.

2.    I wrote a detailed summary of what I want to visit and why I want to visit there.

Conclusion: 

Choose one thing you really liked and enter the information into your passport to share with the class (This will be completed in Spanish class with Señorita Matz).
