1. Are there any earthquake / fault lines or volcanoes in areas of your biome?

2. Have there been any large scale natural disasters caused by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or tidal waves in any area of your biomes over the last ten years?

If so, when, where, what was the damage to humans, the environment, or the economy?

3. If there are mountains in any area of your biome, where are they, how high are they, when did they form? Do they affect the climate?

4. Are there any mineral or oil deposits in areas of your biome?

If so, how does this affect the environment or economy?

5. Describe the terms: ground water and water table.

6. Are there any famous areas that were created by rivers or glaciers? Describe them.

7. Create a list of three major rivers of the world and be able to show where they are.

8. What effect does running water (rivers and streams) have on the earth and rock around it? (explain erosion caused by water)
