France Web Quest

INTRODUCTION:

We are traveling to the beautiful country of France. But before we go, we need to find out some important things about France.

TASK:

You will “travel” to France via the following websites found by your teacher and find 3 things that you would like to visit/experience when you go to France.

PROCESS:

1. Check out at least 3 websites on your own.
2. Read about the places or things that interest you.
3. Complete the page given to you by your teacher.
1. Be sure to be detailed about what you are interested in so you don’t forget when your teacher asks you about it!!

RESOURCES:

1. Find out about famous painting such as the Mona Lisa and other works found in The Louvre Museum.
2. Tour the beautiful Châteaux of the Loire River Valley.
3. Visit the amazing Mont St. Michel – be sure to watch for the tides!!
4. Visit the stunning château of Chambord with over 300 chimneys and winding staircase.
5. A trip to France is not complete without visiting Versailles and walking down the famous mirrored hallway.
6. See the Alps along the German/Swiss border in the Alsace region of France.
7. Along the Spanish border lie the Pyrénées and the wonderful life of Southern France.
8. Of course, Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and you must make sure to check out this Paris Water Tour.
9. Get some facts about Paris’ most famous landmark -- La Tour Eiffel and other famous landmarks.

EVALUATION:

Check to see if you completed the following items:

1. I found at least 3 places/things that I would like to do upon my visit to France.

2. I wrote a summary of what I want to visit and why I want to visit there.

CONCLUSION:

Choose one thing you really liked and enter the information into your passport to share with the class (This will be completed in French class with Mademoiselle Matz).
