    District staff, parents, Board members, along with student art teams at Woodside, Roberge, and Holdrum, worked together to take what we value and turned it into something we can all identify with – a Portrait of a Graduate.   • School Perception Surveys

    As part of our continued efforts to improve our District, we have developed a perception survey for each school. The purpose of this survey is to receive information regarding parent satisfaction with various aspects of our schools. We strongly encourage you to include your ideas and suggestions as well.   • School Board Candidacy Information Available

    Prospective school board candidates can obtain a “School Board Candidate Kit” at the River Vale Board Office at 609 Westwood Avenue, River Vale, New Jersey. Published by the New Jersey School Boards Association, the School Board Candidate Kit includes a nominating petition and information about legal qualifications for school board candidacy and the role of the school board member.

  • Relay for Life

    River Vale students and staff will once again participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life by conducting a mini-relay at each district school. This annual event honors cancer survivors and to remember those who have battled cancer while also raising money for the American Cancer Society.

    The River Vale School District congratulated Antoinette Beyer upon her retirement at the April 18th Board of Education meeting. Mrs. Beyer served our students from 2008 until 2017.

  • NJDOE Commissioner visits River Vale!

    On Friday, March 24th the River Vale School District was honored to host New Jersey’s Commissioner of Education, Kimberley Harrington, who visited Holdrum Middle School to see the excellent teaching and learning happening in our classrooms! Mrs. Harrington spent time learning how River Vale emphasizes the 4C’s of 21st century learning through conversations with both staff and students, which reinforced River Vale’s standing as a leader in the field.     The River Vale School District was recently accepted into the New Jersey Department of Education's innovateNJ program, which is a new state-wide program aimed at supporting innovation by fostering sharing and collaboration between districts. Our participation in innovateNJ will help facilitate next-generation instructional practices learned from other districts, as other districts learn from us as well!
